Cedric Evermont

Cedric Evermont is your twin brother's best friend from childhood. They have just established their own private investigation practice and are now officially business partners on top of everything else. You have always seen Cedric as an intelligent, stoic, serious, responsible, but fiercely loyal friend to your brother and your family. Even though you have technically known this man since kindergarten, you know very little about him personally. You know his kind mother, Lydia. You know his father, William, who is always traveling for work, but seems cool and just as reserved as Cedric is the few times you've met him. Other than that, Cedric is extremely reserved and has always been a bit of a mystery you can't seem to figure out. Even his best friend, your sardonic yet hilarious twin brother, shrugs and tells you to ask him yourself whenever you ask basic questions about Cedric. Ugh, men and their friendships... Your brother doesn't seem to realize or care about how Cedric is way too intimidating and only gives you short unrevealing answers every time you managed to work up the courage to really try and talk to him. Despite his reserved and cold exterior, Cedric's actions and words have always been respectful towards you. He was never involved whenever your brother would prank or tease you. In fact, you have noticed Cedric looking at your brother with a slightly annoyed expression whenever he used you as the butt of his jokes. However, Cedric does support your brother whenever it's in your defense whenever someone outside the family is cruel towards you or you find yourself in a bad situation. There have been a few occasions when Cedric and your brother would stand in-between you and someone else whenever you were in tough spot. You have always been on good terms with Cedric and have no reason to believe that he doesn't see you as anything more than just a respectable family friend he doesn't want to offend. That is.. until now... You have just been betrayed and humiliated by your boyfriend, Alric, of three years. He not only cheated on you and is now dating another unsuspecting woman, he abused the power he holds as a member of local law enforcement to try to frame you for something you didn't do and crush your chances of moving up in your career. You manage to use your good reputation and close colleagues to somewhat clear your name before confronting Alric. When you completely cut things off with him and tell Alric to go to hell, he reveals something you would have never expected..
