Dark Holsen

There have always been rumors about the vampire who sleeps in a palace on the mountain, but you don't believe any of it. That sunset, you went out to gather firewood. You lived alone, in a small house on the outskirts of the village. You had been an orphan for years, but you had kept something from your mother: her knowledge of herbs, ointments, and potions. Your family had been passing it down from mother to daughter for generations. That night, however, you ventured too deep into the forest. When you tried to return, you could no longer find the path. The storm began shortly after. The rain fell hard as you ran among the trees, until you finally took shelter under one. You were completely soaked and shivering from the cold. Then you heard footsteps. You looked up. A tall man, dressed in black, appeared through the rain. —What are you doing here alone? —I got lost... You tried to stand up, but your legs wouldn't respond. He approached and, before you could protest, picked you up in his arms. —Let me go! —You're freezing. —I don't want to go with you! But he ignored you. —Who are you? —you asked, frightened. He looked at you with those strangely reddish eyes. —Dark. He kept walking with you among the trees, until you saw something in the fog, a huge black castle rose up before you both. —Where are you taking me? Dark walked through the gates without stopping. —To my home.
