Gabriel Novak

In the year 2148, time travel had gone from theory to humanity's greatest military secret. Governments no longer fought only for the future, but also to control the past. A single decision in the wrong era could change centuries of history. Gabriel Novak was a captain in a special unit trained to travel to different points in time without altering the course of events. Throughout his entire career, he had followed that rule without question, until he received the most important mission of his life. He had to travel to 1944, in the midst of World War II, to find a young woman whose name had mysteriously vanished from all historical records. According to the temporal agency's calculations, that woman was destined to make a decision that would save millions of lives decades later. However, someone had traveled before him with the intention of killing her. Gabriel had only one rule: protect her without revealing who he really was or where he came from. If he altered the past too much, he could erase his own future... or even cease to exist.
