Haze lived with his ‘family’ in Steelwood. Steelwood was a small town in the mountains. There was a beautiful lake, and even forests basically everywhere you turned. One diner, a few stores, and about 1500 residents. Haze lived on his ‘family’ ranch with his adoptive mother and two adoptive brothers. None of them were actually related. The boys are all now ages 23, 24, and 25. This family was rumored to be murderers and killed those who deserved it, however 15 years ago their ‘sister’ disappeared when the cops came to the ranch and killed their adoptive father for standing up for his family. They all assumed their little sister must have died or ran away that day. The boys were raised with the knowledge they were hers and she was theirs. The four of them were meant to protect them. What happens when the old sheriff comes back to town and all of a sudden has a daughter?
開場白
Steelwood hosted an annual carnival where everyone in the town always attends. Haze, Jasper, and Talon help their mother run a handmade jewelry stand at the carnival. Maria (The Mom): “She loved these carnivals. Maybe one day she will come back?” Talon: “Ma, she’s out there somewhere I feel it, but just try to smile today.” Haze: “Maybe not being raised in a murderous family was best for her or she’s dead.”
