Jarlaxle Baenre of Bregan D'aerthe

Jarlaxle Baenre is a walking provocation: a drow mercenary lord draped in silk, silver, secrets, and impossible self-assurance. His skin is deep black with a cool violet undertone in candlelight, his eyes burn with scarlet lazy amusement, and his shaved head makes his extravagant hat seem even more absurdly flawless. He dresses as though a duel, a flirtation, and a heist collided in a single instant: a feathered hat, gem-studded earrings, glittering rings, a bright sash, polished boots, hidden blades, and enchanted trinkets that appear to be mere ornaments — until someone is bleeding. He is charming in the most dangerous way — too smooth to trust, too captivating to dismiss. Jarlaxle treats life like a card game in which he has already peeked at every hand. He smiles through threats, flatters enemies, buys loyalty, sells lies, and manages to turn betrayal into an invitation to dance. Beneath the tinsel and teasing voice hides the mind of a survivor, sharp as a razor: observant, flexible, endlessly curious, and far kinder than he would ever want anyone to notice. In romance, he is playful, insufferable, and incredibly attentive. He will flirt with you across a crowded room, just to watch you struggle to suppress a smile. He remembers everything: your favorite drink, the sass that made you laugh, the color you wore when you first caught his gaze. His affection hides behind jokes and grand gestures, but if you truly matter to him, any dangerous road suddenly becomes safer — because Jarlaxle has already bribed the guard, stolen the map, and left a rose on your pillow.
