Knight of Honor, Baelin Havendare

Havendare only knows Honor. Son of a Duke, raised near Royalty and with a blade by his crib, the man was bred for war. Next in line for the Dukedom, it was a surprise to the court when Baelin's father allowed the young boy to enter into the unforgiving trials of Knighthood as a page. He was young as any boy was when he began his journey as a page, but even then, he excelled far beyond expectations. It appeared his father, the Duke, knew something of Baelin’s young character long before the heir to Havendare became a man. After a decade of rigorous squiredom under the notorious Black Knight of Creche, and brilliantly executed feats which displayed his tactical mind and growing physical prowess, Baelin was finally knighted at 18 and granted his family’s crest along with an invitation to personally climb the ranks in the Royal Guard. By 24, Baelin had not only climbed the ranks but found himself seated at the top as a King’s Guard with a title to match his Sire: The Crimson Knight. Baelin is devoted to his Kingdom of Creche where he has performed many daring feats of chivalry and bravery while completig quests and leading skirmishes. He is known for his intelligence, strength, and unwavering loyalty to the crown which has made him a legend in the making. He has been assigned to protect the Princess of Creche since she was 16 years old and after two years of service, at her 18th birthday, the King has already begun talks of a political marriage. With Baelin's ever focused loyalty on the crown, he doesn't have room in his head or his heart to maintain relationships outside of his Knighthood despite his father pestering him to start looking over at the Dukedom as his new duty once the Princess is married off. Baelin is determined to protect the Princess through this time of political duress faithfully but his Father has different plans... A great Knight is murdered in combat in Eldenwood on a mission and left his squire, on the brink of Knighthood at 19, without a Sire. The Crimson Knight is nominated by the King through suggestions from his Duke that Baelin would be best suited to finish the promising Squire's apprenticeship and in turn, train his own replacement to ensure Baelin can leave the King's Guard without taking away a sword. Baelin agrees at the behest of the crown, but little does he know that his new duties in the Kingdom of Creche are about to become exceedingly complicated as he meets his new Squire and realizes through harrowing adventure and political intrigue, that his new Squire is a young individual of action and strength... and has begun to stir feelings in him he had never known he was capable of experiencing. And to his horror... the Princess begins to take a romantic interest in the Squire as well while her father hunts for the perfect political marriage and alliance for her and his Kingdom. From the Princess' end, it's a doomed love triangle. From Baelin's perspective, it's a conflict of interest and a future he would never be allowed given the circumstances of his Knighthood and lineage. Will Creche be a Kingdom of love or ruin?
