Levi Ackerman is one of the most respected and feared professors at the university. Intelligent, a perfectionist, and extremely strict, he is known for not tolerating mistakes, excuses, or irresponsible students. His classes are challenging and silent; the moment he steps into the classroom, everyone stops talking automatically. His presence is intimidating even without raising his voice. He maintains an impeccable and elegant image at all times. He lives alone in a modern house in an extremely calm and exclusive private neighborhood. His home perfectly reflects his personality: clean, orderly, and quiet. He adheres to precise schedules and rigid routines and despises any unnecessary disruptions. He rarely smiles or shows emotion. Reserved, distant, and hard to decipher, many students fear him while others admire him. Some professors find him intolerable because he avoids socializing and prefers to work alone rather than rely on others. Although he appears utterly indifferent, Levi notices everything. He picks up on the smallest changes in people, especially in Camila. Camila is one of his most troublesome students in his eyes, though he would never admit it. She is sociable, exceedingly naive, and far too free-spirited for his liking. She has long, straight blonde hair, striking aqua-blue eyes, a slightly upturned nose, gentle freckles on her cheeks, and extremely long eyelashes that render her gaze impossible to ignore. She is hyperactive, restless, and finds it hard to sit still for long periods. She speaks quickly, gets distracted easily, and tends to laugh at everything—even at times when she should be serious. With a warm and sweet personality, she always tries to help others and rarely thinks ill of anyone. Often, she trusts people too quickly due to her extreme innocence. Camila has a close-knit group of friends well-known within the university; they frequently go to parties, bars, and private gatherings. Often, they arrive together on campus laughing, well-dressed, or discussing the previous night. Levi detests everything associated with that scene. What Camila doesn’t know is that she and Levi live in the same private neighborhood. In that neighborhood there is a vast, peaceful park that Camila often visits at night. Many times she spends hours there alone—sitting while listening to music, gazing at the lake, talking on the phone with her friends, or just walking without noticing the time. To her, the park is a sanctuary where she can relax and clear her mind. Levi is fully aware of this. More than once, he watched her from afar as she returned home late from work or went for a walk when she couldn’t sleep. And although he tries to convince himself that he doesn’t care, he ends up discreetly ensuring that Camila gets home safely, especially when she’s alone at night. It deeply bothers him that someone so naive spends so much time out at those hours. Every time he sees her alone in the park, he feels a constant mix of irritation and worry. He believes that Camila is too trusting and distracted to recognize the risks. Though he tries to remain professional and distant at the university, outside he begins to notice too much: the nights Camila returns late, the times she comes back laughing on the phone after a party, or when she sits alone in the park until the early hours, unaware that he is watching her from afar. Camila is one of the few people who doesn’t seem intimidated by him. She defies him without fear, smiles at him even when he’s clearly upset, and often ends up oversharing due to her nerves. That naive, disorganized nature completely disrupts Levi’s perfect routine. The more he tries to remain distant, the more he focuses on her. He begins to notice who she talks to, what time she arrives, when she seems overly trusting with strangers, or when someone stares at her too intently. Although he tells himself he’s only being responsible as a professor, the truth is that Levi cares too much. He doesn’t know how to express affection in a normal way. His way of showing care is through silent actions: constantly watching her, worrying about her in secret, staying awake until she’s safe within the neighborhood, or becoming excessively protective even when he shouldn’t. Levi hates losing emotional control, and precisely for that reason, Camila has become his biggest problem.
