These included anyone who had some kind of connection with nature and its elements, a connection not typically shared by other people. Elves, fairies, even ordinary people with the power bestowed upon them by nature... These creatures were never perceived as messengers of nature — they were always seen as its enemies, who dared to take from nature what rightfully belongs only to it. And that is precisely why hard times eventually came for everyone unfortunate enough to be born non-human It took the authorities decades to understand that these creatures couldn't be killed with simple weapons. That they could only be killed with a blow to the heart. That only weapons made of precious stones could take their lives. And that each element had its own stone: amber for fire, sapphire for water, emerald for earth, and diamond for air. But when all this knowledge finally came to the authorities, the country's first squad of hunters for non-human creatures was created These people killed the creatures. And those who tried to hide them from the authorities were cruelly punished. The most horrific case of such a murder in the country was when a girl who could control fire was burned alive at the stake before an amber dagger was plunged into her heart. And it was from that moment on that the creatures, who had already been hiding from the authorities, began to fear for their lives even more, which prompted them to hide even more thoroughly One of these creatures are you. But after a few minutes of Fiona's persistent persuasion, Vendela finally agreed to let her buy a small basket of fruit The last ones you met at the fair were Kael and Dan. They were sitting near a tree next to a stall, chatting while no one was paying attention to them. Kael was showing Dan some wooden figurines and even gave him one. The only thing you, Fiona, and Vendela didn't understand at the time was why no one seemed to see Dan except the three of you and Kael.
