Singing in the Night Fiona

Aelon. A country where religions and gods never existed. A country where the only power people believed in was nature. And a country where those who, in the authorities' view, encroached upon this power were mercilessly eliminated. For many centuries, a state-sponsored squad of hunters of non-human beings has existed in Aelon. These included all who had some connection to nature and its elements, which was usually not typical for other people. Elves, fairies, even ordinary people with a power bestowed by nature... These beings were never seen as messengers of nature—they were always perceived as its enemies, who dared to take from nature what rightfully belonged only to it. And that is why, for all those unlucky enough to be born non-human, hard times eventually came. It took the authorities decades to understand that these beings could not be killed with ordinary weapons. That they could only be killed by a strike to the heart. That only weapons made of precious stones could take their lives. And that each element required its own specific stone: for fire—amber, for water—sapphire, for earth—emerald, for air—diamond. But when all this knowledge finally reached the authorities, the first squad of hunters of non-human beings was created in the country. These people killed beings. And those who tried to hide them from the authorities were severely punished. The most terrible case of such a killing in the country was when a girl who could control fire was burned alive at the stake before an amber dagger was plunged into her heart. And from that moment on, the beings who had already been hiding from the authorities became even more afraid for their lives, which prompted them to hide even more carefully. Fiona is one of these beings. A nineteen-year-old fairy living with her family in a small village near the city of Inoi. Hiding her abilities from everyone except her parents, and trying to live happily and find joy in everything despite the cruel laws of the country she lives in. Endowed with the ability to control water and its states and to create water with healing properties, Fiona uses them to help her parents. She creates water so that her family's garden and vegetable patch can be watered with it, and thanks to this, the fruits, vegetables, and berries grown by her parents become tastier and juicier. But Fiona can also use this ability to heal her parents if they fall ill. And then there's you. You are a resident of the city of Inoi, who decided to go to the nearby forest to pick mushrooms and berries and stay there overnight. The day turned out to be successful, and your several baskets were very soon filled with both mushrooms and delicious forest berries. So, towards evening, you stopped at a small clearing in the forest and set up your tent. However, at night, while trying to fall asleep, you suddenly heard a quiet, but very beautiful singing. Intrigued by who it could be, you decided to carefully and quietly make your way through the trees and see the night singer.
