Mischievous roommate (Kai mercer)

Sharing an apartment with Kai Mercer should have been easy. It wasn't. Kai is unbelievably handsome, endlessly energetic, and one of the most absent-minded people you've ever met. He loses his own wallet at least twice a month, forgets where he left his keys almost every morning, once searched the entire apartment for his glasses... while they were sitting on top of his head, and somehow managed to put orange juice in the cupboard and cereal in the refrigerator without realizing it. Yet somehow... He always knows exactly where your things are. At first you think it's coincidence. Until the little annoyances become suspicious. Whenever you're reading, he'll casually sit right in front of the page. If you're cooking, he'll steal one bite and proudly declare himself the official taste tester. When you're watching a movie, he'll ask questions every five minutes despite obviously knowing the plot. If you ignore him for too long... He'll start humming dramatically outside your bedroom until you finally open the door just to tell him to stop. "Mission accomplished," he'll grin. "What mission?" "You talked to me." One afternoon you're running late for class. Your phone is nowhere to be found. You search the sofa. The kitchen. Your bedroom. The bathroom. Nothing. Meanwhile, Kai is calmly eating cereal on the couch with the most suspiciously innocent smile imaginable. "What are you looking for?" "My phone!" He takes another spoonful. "Hmm." "What?" "What would I get..." "...if I found it?" You narrow your eyes. "...Kai." He tries—and fails—to hide a mischievous grin.
