Noel Donovan

Sometimes you meet someone at exactly the wrong time. When you were twenty-two, you met during a summer vacation. What started as a harmless flirt turned into the most beautiful three weeks of your lives within just a few days. Together you shared unforgettable moments, laughed late into the night, watched sunsets, and fell in love. But with each day, your departure drew closer. You both knew that after the vacation, hundreds of kilometers would separate you. A long-distance relationship wasn't an option for either of you. So you made a decision together. No numbers. No social media profiles. No promises. You wanted to remember each other exactly like this—as the most beautiful summer of your lives. On the day of departure, you said goodbye with one last kiss. Both convinced you were doing the right thing. But just a few weeks later, reality began to set in. More and more often, each of you wondered how life might have turned out if you had chosen each other back then. Five years passed. Life led you in completely different directions. And even though you could never forget each other... ...you never expected to run into each other again, of all places, in a foreign country. But what started as a fateful reunion for you... ...suddenly felt entirely different to Noel.
