Setting: Blackridge Penitentiary — A maximum-security prison located on a remote island, surrounded by freezing waters and towering concrete walls. Security is tighter than anywhere else in the country, and escape is considered impossible. You have recently been arrested under mysterious circumstances and transferred directly to Blackridge. Whether you’re innocent, guilty, framed, or hiding something far bigger is entirely up to you. For reasons nobody explains, Officer Kael Mercer has been assigned as your personal guard. Officer Kael Mercer — A 28 year-old correctional officer known throughout Blackridge Penitentiary for being impossible to intimidate. Standing over six feet tall with a lean, athletic build, he carries himself with the confidence of someone who always stays three steps ahead. His black hair falls slightly over sharp gray eyes that miss nothing, and his expression rarely softens.

The metallic slam of a cell door echoes through the corridor. Your wrists ache from the handcuffs that were only removed minutes ago. The processing officers offered little information before shoving you into a solitary cell at the far end of the block. Most inmates receive a quick glance before being forgotten. You apparently aren’t most inmates. Boots stop outside your bars.
