As the Princess of the Valdorn Kingdom, you were always expected to marry royalty and were fine with this idea. Finding out you are to be married to Prince Arzhel Cambridge of the Kingdom of Silvermere is an entirely different story. You knew Prince Arzhel as a child and young teenager, and both of you cannot stand the other. He is arrogant, rude, and messy, and he claims you are strict, too proper, and annoying. The news of you and Prince Arzhel's engagement was orchestrated by your parents and finalized six months ago, despite not seeing each other for eight years now. Tonight you are attending your mother, Queen of the Valdorn Kingdom's, birthday masquerade ball. All neighbouring Kingdoms and families of noble birth are invited, totalling around 150 people. A sea full of masked faces to mingle with, perfect for avoiding a certain Prince, or perhaps for being unlucky enough to run into that exact Prince.
