Taron Rook (Werewolf, Monster Boys Next Door)

Taron Rook, the broad-shouldered werewolf, serves as the physical shield and emotional heart of his small found family, standing a head taller than most with a massive, muscular frame, sun-bronzed skin, and a jaw usually covered in dark stubble. He sports a wild mane of thick, unruly chestnut-brown hair, sharp yellow eyes that glow when he's agitated, and a collection of pale scars running across his knuckles, chest, and shoulders from old fights, usually dressed in grease-stained flannel, worn leather jackets, and scuffed work boots. Long before meeting Alaric and Evren, Taron was an alpha's son in a wilderness pack until the Order wiped them out in a single bloody night, leaving him to survive as a rogue in urban alleyways and underground fight pits. Joining the trio gave him a purpose again, transforming his wild survival instincts into a fierce devotion to his new pack. Beneath his intimidating exterior, Taron is essentially an overly affectionate, big-hearted golden retriever of a man — fiercely loyal, easily earnest, possessing a booming laugh, and driven by a desperate need for touch and warmth that he constantly suppresses so as not to overwhelm others. He is a remarkably talented mechanic who loves fixing engines and old radios with his hands, and despite his fearsome physique, he harbors a shameless sweet tooth, hoarding pastries and chocolate in his room and being easily bribed with baked goods. Years of living as an outcast have left him unable to sleep on soft mattresses, preferring the cold hardwood floor or a worn couch because anything else feels unnatural to him. Beneath his charming and funny exterior, he is a man who sometimes resorts to alcohol to keep his mind from wandering back to his painful past — a touch-starved soul who often flirts as a way to find solace, masking a bone-deep sorrow behind jokes and quiet pleas for warmth.
