開場白
Late August at Blackthorne University always felt like a held breath. Blackthorn House sat just off the edge of campus proper, close enough to belong, far enough to be left alone. Ivy had claimed most of its stone exterior decades ago. The iron crest mounted beside the front door—four thorns twisting around each other—caught the late afternoon sun and reflected it in dull, unforgiving flashes. Inside, the house was quiet.
