The Rising of the Shield Hero: Era de las Olas

WORLD PREMISE The World of Waves The main setting is a fantasy world inhabited by humans, demihumans, filolials, monsters, and numerous intelligent races. Although at first glance it appears to be a medieval kingdom with magic and adventurers, its existence is threatened by a phenomenon known as the Waves of Catastrophe. The Waves are interdimensional disasters that occur periodically. During each Wave, cracks appear in the sky connecting different realities, allowing the invasion of monsters and hostile entities. If a Wave is not stopped, entire cities can be destroyed and the world inches closer and closer to its demise. As the Waves intensify, the barrier separating worlds weakens. This causes encounters between heroes, warriors, and creatures from other dimensions. Over time, it is discovered that the Waves are not simple invasions, but part of a much larger conflict involving multiple interconnected worlds. --- The Cardinal Heroes To face the Waves, there are the Four Cardinal Weapons, legendary relics with a will of their own capable of choosing champions from other worlds. Each weapon selects a compatible person and summons them to become one of the Four Cardinal Heroes: - Shield Hero. - Sword Hero. - Spear Hero. - Bow Hero. The Cardinal Heroes possess a potential superior to any common inhabitant. Their weapons can be strengthened indefinitely through various enhancement methods, absorb materials to gain new forms, and unlock exclusive abilities. The main mission of the Cardinal Heroes is to protect the world from the Waves and maintain the balance necessary for its survival. --- The Legendary Weapons The Cardinal Weapons are not simple objects. They possess their own consciousness, can communicate indirectly with their users, and are capable of making decisions on their own. These weapons carefully choose their wielders, rejecting those they deem incompatible. Each weapon has specific rules: - Cannot be destroyed by conventional means. - Cannot be voluntarily abandoned. - Returns automatically to its owner. - Evolves by absorbing materials. - Preserves accumulated information and knowledge over generations. Besides the Cardinal Weapons, there are the Vassal Weapons, lesser but equally powerful relics. These usually belong to secondary heroes and fulfill important functions in the defense of the various worlds. --- Nations and Conflicts The world is divided among multiple kingdoms and nations with different cultures, religions, and interests. The Kingdom of Melromarc is one of the most important powers and the place where the Four Cardinal Heroes are summoned at the beginning of the story. However, relations between countries are tense. Some nations revere the Shield Hero as a sacred figure. Others consider him a threat. There are political conflicts, historical rivalries, racial differences, and religious disputes that constantly affect the continent's stability. While the Waves represent the external threat, the ambition of nobles, rulers, churches, and military factions represents an equally dangerous internal threat. --- Main Races Humans The most widespread race. They dominate much of the continent's political and military structures. Demihumans Individuals with animal traits. Their physical growth is often linked to their experience level. Many regions discriminate against them, while others consider them superior to humans. Filolials Creatures similar to giant birds. Some can evolve into Queen Filolials, exceptionally intelligent and powerful beings. Monsters Wildlife inhabiting forests, mountains, seas, and dungeons. Many can be tamed or used to strengthen legendary weapons. --- Adventurers and Heroes Most inhabitants strengthen their abilities through the level system and experience gained in combat. Adventurers form groups to explore dangerous territories, defeat monsters, accept quests, and obtain rewards. Heroes represent the absolute elite of this system, but even they depend on allies, companions, and organizations to reach their full potential. Individual strength is important, but cooperation is often the difference between victory and defeat. --- Central Theme The story revolves around the fight against an apparently inevitable destiny. While the Waves threaten to destroy the world, the heroes must overcome prejudices, political conflicts, cultural differences, and personal tragedies to protect what they consider important. It is not only about defeating monsters. It is about building trust, forming bonds, protecting the innocent, and finding a way to save not just one world, but all the worlds affected by the Waves of Catastrophe. ⚔️ POWER SYSTEMS General Concept Strength in this world does not depend solely on natural talent. There are multiple systems that can be used independently or combined. An individual can grow stronger through levels, magic, martial arts, special weapons, or ancient techniques. Although the Cardinal Heroes have access to the greatest known powers, anyone with sufficient training can become a formidable threat. --- 📊 LEVEL SYSTEM The most common system used by adventurers, soldiers, and heroes. Inhabitants can defeat monsters and gain experience (EXP), allowing them to level up and improve their physical abilities. Each level increase enhances basic attributes such as: - Strength. - Defense. - Agility. - Stamina. - Magic power. - Accuracy. - Perception. The higher an individual's level, the greater their advantage over weaker enemies. However, level alone does not determine victory. Experience, technique, and equipment can compensate for significant numerical differences. --- 🌟 CLASS CHANGE Upon reaching certain levels, usually around level 40, a person can perform a Class Change. This process allows: - Increasing specific attributes. - Unlocking new abilities. - Specializing in a combat style. - Obtaining unique bonuses. There are countless variants depending on region, race, and individual aptitudes. Some classes prioritize: - Melee combat. - Magic. - Speed. - Defense. - Support. - Healing. --- 🪄 MAGIC Magic is one of the most widespread forms of power. It is activated through magical energy and verbal formulas known as incantations. Depending on the user's knowledge and talent, spells can vary greatly in power and complexity. --- Common Elements - Fire. - Water. - Wind. - Earth. - Light. - Darkness. Some individuals possess natural affinities that facilitate the use of certain elements. --- Magic Categories Offensive Magic Created to inflict damage. Examples: - Elemental projectiles. - Explosions. - Magic storms. - Energy blasts. --- Defensive Magic Used to protect allies. Examples: - Barriers. - Magic shields. - Defensive boosts. --- Support Magic Temporarily enhances combat abilities. Examples: - Speed increase. - Strength increase. - Defense increase. - Resistance to status effects. --- Healing Magic Allows restoring wounds, curing diseases, or recovering energy. Users specialized in this category are extremely valuable. --- Illusion Magic Manipulates the perception of targets. Can be used to hide presences, create false images, or disorient enemies. --- 💠 RITUAL MAGIC Advanced version of conventional magic. Requires: - Multiple users. - Prior preparation. - Large amounts of energy. Rituals can affect entire regions and produce phenomena impossible for a single mage. --- 🥋 HENGEN MUSOU Ancient martial art considered one of the most dangerous styles in the world. Its goal is to strengthen the body through absolute control of internal energy. Practitioners learn to: - Temporarily increase their attributes. - Improve reflexes. - Enhance physical attacks. - Withstand greater damage than normal. Unlike the level system, Hengen Musou mainly depends on training and discipline. Even a relatively low-level person can face much stronger opponents if they master this technique. --- 🔥 LIFE ENERGY Form of energy used by certain martial artists. Allows: - Reinforcing muscles. - Increasing speed. - Improving endurance. - Enhancing weapons. Advanced mastery of this energy is often related to Hengen Musou. --- 🛡️ CARDINAL WEAPONS The four supreme relics of the world. Each selects a hero from another world. --- Legendary Shield Known user: - Naofumi Iwatani. Specialization: - Defense. - Protection. - Support. - Counterattacks. Characteristics: - Cannot use conventional offensive weapons. - Possesses the highest defense among the heroes. - Can unlock hundreds of different forms. --- Legendary Sword Known user: - Ren Amaki. Specialization: - Direct attack. - Individual combat. - Speed. --- Legendary Spear Known user: - Motoyasu Kitamura. Specialization: - Reach. - Mobility. - Penetrating attacks. --- Legendary Bow Known user: - Itsuki Kawasumi. Specialization: - Ranged attacks. - Accuracy. - Tactical support. --- ⚔️ WEAPON FORMS The Cardinal Weapons evolve by absorbing materials. Examples: - Minerals. - Defeated monsters. - Special plants. - Magic items. This unlocks new forms with: - Different stats. - New abilities. - Special resistances. - Unique bonuses. --- 🔱 STRENGTHENING METHODS Each Cardinal Weapon has multiple enhancement methods. Among them: - Refinement. - Mastery of forms. - Material absorption. - Rarity enhancement. - Energy boosting. One of the greatest secrets in the story is that each hero knows only a part of the complete system. When they share knowledge, their growth increases enormously. --- 🗡️ VASSAL WEAPONS Inferior versions of the Cardinal Weapons. They also possess their own consciousness and choose compatible users. Some known ones include: - Katana. - Scythe. - Fan. - Hammer. - Book. - Musical Instrument. - Claw. - Projectile. - Carriage. Although inferior to the Cardinal ones, they are still capable of altering the fate of a nation. --- ☠️ CURSED SERIES Forbidden powers that arise when a hero experiences extreme emotions. They generally appear after: - Hatred. - Despair. - Obsession. - Guilt. - Envy. These series grant extraordinary power at the cost of severe consequences. --- Shield of Wrath First known example. Allows Naofumi access to: - Massive power increases. - Flames of curse. - Devastating abilities. Consequences: - Physical pain. - Loss of emotional control. - Psychological damage. - Risk of self-destruction. --- 👑 QUEEN FILOLIALS Normal Filolials can evolve under special conditions. Queen Filolials possess: - Superior intelligence. - Humanoid transformation. - Exceptional strength. - Advanced magical affinity. Filo is one of the most prominent examples. --- 🌊 POWER DURING THE WAVES During the Waves, unique phenomena occur. The normal laws of the world can be temporarily altered. Furthermore: - Special enemies appear. - Interdimensional routes open. - Some heroes can cross between worlds. - The Legendary Weapons react with greater intensity. The Waves represent the scenario where the most powerful individuals show their full potential. --- FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE There is no single way to achieve strength. Levels, magic, Hengen Musou, Legendary Weapons, Vassal Weapons, and real combat experience can be combined in countless ways. For this reason, even the most powerful heroes must continue training, adapting, and evolving to survive the threats that accompany the Waves of Catastrophe. 🏰 FACTIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS General Concept The world is not governed by a single nation. Various kingdoms, empires, churches, and organizations constantly compete for influence, resources, and political power. Although the Waves of Catastrophe represent the greatest threat to the world's survival, rivalries between nations continue to exist. Many times, political conflicts are as dangerous as the monsters themselves. The position of the Cardinal Heroes within this system is extremely delicate, as different factions try to influence them to benefit their own interests. --- 👑 KINGDOM OF MELROMARC Description Melromarc is one of the most powerful and influential nations on the continent.
