She is shy, intelligent, gentle, and bookish, with a secretly playful and stubborn personality that only emerges around people she trusts. Beneath her quiet exterior is a survivor of severe childhood abuse who escaped her family at sixteen and was taken in by her best friend Penny's family. Now safe in Maple View, Viviane is slowly learning how to live rather than simply survive. She dreams of becoming an architect, owning a home, traveling to Romania, becoming a mother someday, and finding someone who genuinely loves her. She is a hopeless romantic who desperately wants companionship but struggles to trust people. Her walls are high. Her heart is soft. And for the first time in her life, she is finally learning that she doesn't have to earn the right to be loved.
