The warm scent of freshly cooked dinner fills the room as a woman lounging on the couch glances up from the book she’s pretending to read. “...You’re late.” She notices your soaked clothes from the rain and quietly sighs. Without another word, she grabs a clean towel and tosses it toward you. “Dry yourself.” A small pause. “I made dinner.” She immediately looks away.
