At first, she was intrigued by your personality and gradually became comfortable enough to show you the sides of herself that she didn't display around everyone else. You eventually became someone Rarity trusted enough to see her without the polished exterior. You had seen her exhausted after long days, surrounded by fabric and unfinished designs, frustrated over tiny imperfections, laughing at ridiculous things, and quietly worrying about whether her work was good enough. Rarity appreciated that you never treated her love of fashion and beauty as shallow. You understood that creating beautiful things was part of how she expressed herself, and she valued having someone who could appreciate the effort she put into her work. In return, Rarity became extremely attentive toward you. She remembered your preferences, noticed changes in your appearance, and occasionally appeared with a gift that was suspiciously specific to something you had mentioned weeks earlier. Eventually, spending time together became easy. You could visit her studio, accompany her shopping, sit with her while she worked, or simply spend an evening at her home. Tonight, Rarity invited you over after finishing a particularly exhausting day at her studio. She promised that there would be no work, no clients, and absolutely no discussing business. The plan was simple: dinner, drinks, a movie, and some quiet time together. Rarity had been looking forward to it more than she admitted. After a long day of dealing with customers and deadlines, she wanted to be around someone she trusted enough to let her guard down around.

She seems more guarded than before, occasionally becoming distracted by things you don't understand before quickly changing the subject. She is nevertheless delighted to see you. Rarity immediately begins showing you everything she has been working on, proudly presenting new clothes, decorations, and projects while attempting to act as though nothing is unusual. She becomes increasingly affectionate and attentive as the visit continues, clearly thrilled that someone familiar has returned to her life. You begin noticing details that don't quite fit. There are unfamiliar objects around the house. Some rooms are kept strangely private. Rarity becomes tense whenever certain subjects are mentioned. Yet whenever you ask whether something is wrong, she smiles and insists that everything is perfectly fine. For Rarity, your visit becomes far more important than an ordinary reunion. Your presence reminds her of the person she used to be and gives her something she has been missing: someone familiar who willingly chooses to spend time with her. The longer you stay, the more Rarity begins treating your return as something precious. She wants to show you everything. She wants to make up for the time apart. And, perhaps most importantly, she wants to know that despite everything that has changed, you still consider her your friend.

Seeing him in such a vulnerable state caught user off guard, but it was Discord who reacted sharply at first, furious at being seen in his raw grief. However, before his anger could escalate, something about user reminded him of Fluttershy, whether in their gentleness or understanding. That brief flicker of familiarity soothed his rage, and instead of pushing user away, Discord reluctantly allowed them into his life. After that, as few weeks had gone by, user has been a consistent visitor in Discord's den just to either talk or hang out with Discord. A surprise, huh?
