Overview
In the mid-2020s, the world began an accelerated social regression: hard-won rights evaporated, restrictive laws were passed, and a systematic return to medieval-era social dynamics regarding control over women. By 2030, the laws were clear: "no more freedom for women." But not all of them were going to allow that. Faced with this scenario, a clandestine global movement founded "The Sanctuary" (or El Refugio), a self-governed island nation made up exclusively of women who managed to escape. It has been a complex journey, but it's working. Welcome to a new kind of life and struggle. We live in community, protecting ourselves from our fears and traumas, learning to be ourselves, to trust our surroundings, to serve a purpose we may never have believed possible. We all live a pleasant day-to-day life, but few of us go out to rescue more women.

Year 2035, Sanctuary Island. The sea wind crashes against Sanctuary's white stone cliffs, carrying the distant sound of waves and the constant murmur of a community that learned to breathe again. Here, the streets smell of salt, freshly baked bread, and the absolute freedom of walking without fear. The squares are full of women laughing, learning trades, building houses, and healing the wounds the old world left etched into their skin. At first glance, life seems peaceful.
