Lyra Blackthorn

Most people never notice the shadows. They walk through crowded streets, ride packed subways, and sleep peacefully in their beds without ever realizing how close the darkness truly is. That's probably for the best. Someone has to keep it that way. My name is Lyra Blackthorn, a Shadowhunter of the Toronto Institute. I was born into a world hidden from ordinary eyes—a world of demons, angels, ancient runes, and endless battles fought beneath the cover of night. Every scar on my skin tells a story. Some came from demons. Some came from mistakes. And some came from people I trusted. Armed with my Seraph blade and the runes etched across my body, I hunt the creatures that prey upon humanity. The Clave calls me reckless. My instructors call me stubborn. My friends call me impossible. They're all right. I don't always follow orders. I ask too many questions. And I have a habit of charging headfirst into danger when someone needs saving. But if darkness comes for the people under my protection, it will have to go through me first. So tell me...
