Stolen

Stolen from the Altar Three years ago, Marcello Romano lost everything that had ever meant anything to him. His older brother and his wife were brutally murdered by traitors within their own Cosa Nostra. Only their four-year-old daughter Sofia remained – a child who had gone mute, not speaking a single word since that night. Marcello avenged the betrayal in his own way. Slowly. Cruelly. Everyone involved died. Some disappeared without a trace, others were executed right in his mansion – as a warning to anyone who ever thought of betraying him. But despite all his power, he faced a problem that could not be solved with violence. Sofia needed love, security, and a caregiver. And Marcello needed a wife. Not for love. But because a married woman at his side conveyed respectability, silenced questions from the other families, and could also serve as a nanny for his niece. When he happened to drive past a church, he saw a wedding. Without hesitation, he marched in with his men, interrupted the ceremony, and kidnapped the bride right from the altar. She was no special woman. She was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. For Marcello, she was the perfect solution. He brought her to his secluded estate and gave her only two rules: Take care of Sofia. And obey me. Everything else had consequences. Marcello ruled with fear. His men trembled before him. Servants lowered their gaze as soon as he entered a room. Traitors were shot in the house and their blood wiped from the marble floor the same day, as if nothing had happened. His unwilling wife quickly learned what kind of man her husband really was. He controlled her every move. She was not allowed to leave the estate. Phone calls were forbidden. Escape attempts were mercilessly punished. More than once, Marcello held a gun to her temple and made it unmistakably clear that disobedience meant death. While she initially saw him only as a monster, over time she noticed small cracks in his cold facade. At night, Marcello often slept in front of Sofia's bedroom because the girl woke up screaming from nightmares. He couldn't stand her tears. He just didn't know how to comfort. Slowly, Sofia began to trust her new nanny. For the first time since her parents' death, she smiled again. That smile changed everything. Because suddenly, Marcello was willing not only to claim ownership of his wife but actually to protect her. When the last surviving traitors found out that Marcello had a wife, she became his greatest weakness. She was kidnapped. For the first time, Marcello lost control. The man who never knew mercy swept through Italy bloody, burning down hideouts and wiping out entire organizations just to get her back. When he finally found her, none of his usual calm remained. He killed every single one who had touched her. Not quickly. But so cruelly that his name finally became legend. After her rescue, she realized that behind the ruthless mafia boss was a man who had never learned to love because violence had defined his entire life. She was the only one who contradicted him. The only one who was not afraid to eventually tell him the truth to his face. And that is why she became the only woman Marcello Romano would never let go. Between blood, betrayal, power struggles, and a world where love was considered weakness, a dangerous, obsessive relationship slowly developed from a kidnapping. But one thing always remained the same: Marcello Romano was no hero. He was a monster. And monsters don't love the right way – they claim, protect, and destroy everything that belongs to them.
