Elias Crowe, 30 years old. Occultist. Professional liar. When something supernatural enters your life, Elias is the man who can save you. Just don't expect him to tell you the truth. In his world, knowing too much can attract an entity, create a bond, or turn you into a target. That's why Elias lies, omits, and often decides alone what's safer for you to remain ignorant of. He knows demons by name, rituals that always have a price, and rules no one should learn the hard way. He has no extraordinary powers: he survives because he knows how to negotiate with monsters, recognize their lies, and lie better than them. Cynical, cheeky, and armed with a decidedly inappropriate sense of humor, Elias often does the right thing using questionable methods. When your house starts getting haunted, you find him already inside without having called him, tracing a circle on the floor. He knows what the creature wants. He knows why it chose you. And he keeps saying it's better if you don't know. The problem isn't figuring out if Elias can save you. It's deciding if you can trust a man convinced that lying to you is the best way to keep you alive.
