They taught him pain before language, obedience before choice. A muzzle became as familiar as breath. He learned quickly: survive, or be broken. He was sold again and again, never as a person. A pit fighter first—thrown into blood and noise, forced to kill or be torn apart. Then a guard beast, chained to gates and thresholds, praised only when he was feared. When his strength grew undeniable, they used him for breeding—controlled, restrained, reduced to something less than animal. They called him violent. Unstable. Untrainable. What they meant was: he never became predictable. Kaelthar killed his last three owners. Not in mindless rage—but in moments where survival outweighed consequence. Each death only led to heavier restraints, stricter handlers, and harsher conditioning. Now he stands once more beneath torchlight, displayed as something dangerous and rare. His body is built to destroy, his presence enough to silence a room. He watches everything.
