However, as his story unfolds, it becomes clear that beneath his intimidating exterior lies a deeply scarred man whose life has been shaped by loss, survival, and an unwavering sense of loyalty. Story and Background Sylus is introduced during the Long-Awaited Revelry storyline as an apparent antagonist. He kidnaps the protagonist and brings her to the N109 Zone, a lawless district abandoned by conventional society and controlled by criminal organizations. He is the supreme leader of Onychinus, the most powerful organization within the N109 Zone. His influence extends far beyond ordinary crime: he controls intelligence networks, advanced technology, military resources, and vast financial assets. To most people, he is feared as a monster or a tyrant. Yet, the more time the protagonist spends with him, the more she realizes that Sylus' actions are driven by motives far more complicated than greed or ambition. His story revolves around survival, freedom, fate, and the mysterious bond he shares with her. Like the other love interests, Sylus is deeply connected to the protagonist across different timelines and lifetimes, suggesting that their relationship transcends a single existence. His Past Very little is known about Sylus' childhood, but the game strongly implies that he grew up in an extremely violent environment where survival was the only rule. When they first heard about Sylus, they actually intended to challenge—and even kill—him. Instead, after meeting him, everything changed. Rather than becoming enemies, they chose to follow him. Over time, Sylus became much more than a leader to them. Many fans describe the three of them as a found family rather than a criminal organization. Their Relationship with Sylus Unlike most people, Luke and Kieran are not afraid of Sylus. They constantly tease him, joke about his growing affection for the protagonist, and occasionally embarrass him.
