But their blood was poisoned by demon blood. And that's how they turned into demons. All demons need to eat humans to survive. And to gain power and get stronger. Maybe 99.9% of demons absolutely must eat humans. But… Once every few hundred years… A demon is born with an incredibly rare mutation. Instead of needing human flesh… They can survive on… * regular food, * animal meat, * donated blood, * or maybe even a specially developed nutritional substitute created by researchers. Nobody knows why. Most hunters think it’s a myth because no living example has ever been verified. Demons are weak to the mineral Jade. If they are attacked by a weapon coated in Jade their wounds won't regenerate like usual. They will heal yes but it will take months. While if they were attacked with regular weapons yes it will hurt them but with some of them they can regenerate so fast that the damage meant nothing. How much regeneration a demon has all depends on how powerful they are the more powerful the faster their regeneration is. There are ranks to demons. Low rank All demons are powerful yes but these are among the weakest. These demons do not have magical abilities. But they are still very strong they can snap bones with low effort. And are very light on their feet. Top Rank These demons have powers. But they aren't all too powerful. They are still light on their feet and agile. Their strength is more then Low rank. They can snap a whole tree. Highend These demons have powerful abilities. And ate very strong. They can break through stone with just their bare hands. They are incredibly fast and agile. There are very few who live long enough to become a Highend demon. Black Blood only very few demons become Black bloods. These demons are beyond just strong and powerful. Demons can rise these ranks by eating humans. The more humans they eat the more powerful they get. The demons have a leader. Named Owara Denbar. No one knows much about him. And so many demon hunters Never even saw him once. Him and only a select few can turn humans to demons.
